  1. Nickel Plate Arts Presents: Process: Exploring the Healing Power of Art

    Each month, Nickel Plate Arts hosts an exhibit showcasing the works of our talented local artists. The exhibit is open to the public during regular business hours, Wednesday - Friday from Noon - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Our March exhibit will take a look at art as a way to tackle tough emotions, grief, and mental health. “Process: Exploring the Healing Power of Art” will provide a look into how art can do just that. Join us for our opening reception on Friday, March 1 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. as we celebrate outstanding artwork with live music, refreshments, and drinks. More info:

  2. PlayFULL Hours

    PlayFULL Hours are expanding to offer even more fun for ages 1 to 5! This year, little ones can explore their world with different activities and unstructured play every week. These activities require parent participation and include a chance for parents to socialize, too! No advanced registration is required. Two payment options are available: • Pay-as-you-go (prices listed with activity details) • Purchase a Flex Pass for $10 (includes entry to five PlayFULL Hours or Tiny Trekkers Hikes)

  3. March Disability Awareness Month: Visual & Performing Arts Reception: A Celebration of the Arts & Community Unity

    March 8, 2019, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Conner Prairie Museum

    Nickel Plate Arts and Fishers Arts Council invite you to a visual arts reception featuring works of art provided by Opportunities for Positive Growth (OPG); Janus Developmental Services; Art Mix; Indiana School for the Deaf; Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired; clients from the Behavioral Analysis Center for Autism (BACA); clients from Outside the Box; Bosma Enterprises; VIPS – Visual Impaired Preschool Services; Best Buddies; Fortune Academy; and the Monon Community Center (Carmel-Clay Parks). Individual artists, including Jimmy Kiefel, Krista Darrow, Nick Mangos, Olivia Graham and John Tran, will also display their work. Fishers Music Works will bring the Fishers Community Chorus to share songs inspiring story sharing, compassion, and community unity. Some artwork will be available for purchase. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
