  1. Nickel Plate Arts Presents: Process: Exploring the Healing Power of Art

    Each month, Nickel Plate Arts hosts an exhibit showcasing the works of our talented local artists. The exhibit is open to the public during regular business hours, Wednesday - Friday from Noon - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Our March exhibit will take a look at art as a way to tackle tough emotions, grief, and mental health. “Process: Exploring the Healing Power of Art” will provide a look into how art can do just that. Join us for our opening reception on Friday, March 1 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. as we celebrate outstanding artwork with live music, refreshments, and drinks. More info:

  2. March Disability Awareness Month: Think Differently, Shifting the Perspective: An Interactive Conversation About Fear, Stigma, & Assumptions

    March 7, 2019, 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM @ Conner Prairie Museum

    Employers are invited to join Kathy Bernhardt, Managing Director of Tangram Business Resourcing, for coffee and conversation around how employers can meet their employment needs by employing individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Bernhardt will focus on implicit bias and how it affects recruitment of people with disabilities in the workplace. Breakfast is provided. Businesses and organizations throughout Fishers will share their stories on how they have employed people with disabilities and what resources and providers were available to assist in their hiring and retention efforts. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with Fishers businesses, many whom are members of the Disability Inclusion in the Workplace Business Networking Group. Registration is required.
