  1. Nickel Plate Arts Presents: In the Name of Love

    February 1, 2019, 12:00 PM - February 23, 2019, 5:00 PM @ Nickel Plate Arts Campus

It’s no surprise that February is often considered the month of love, so we’re hosting an on-theme exhibit that will bring feelings of fondness to everyone who enters our Judge Stone House gallery. “In the Name of Love” will feature artwork from artists in the Nickel Plate Arts region that explores the sentiments of affection, devotion, and friendship, to name a few. Bring your special someone to our First Friday reception on Friday, February 1 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. to view art in a variety of mediums and enjoy live music, refreshments, and a cash bar. After the reception, “In the Name of Love” will be open to the public during our normal gallery hours: Wednesday – Friday from noon – 5pm and Saturday from 10am – 5pm. More info:

The award-winning City Government Academy (CGA) returns this spring offering Fishers residents an inside look at their local government and community. The ten-week program, taking place February 13 through April 16, allows residents to connect with City leaders, earn a greater understanding of day-to-day operations, and get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at Fishers’ unique facilities and departments, including stormwater, the fire and police departments, parks, and more. Registration is free for Fishers residents ages 18 and older and due February 7. A complete spring schedule is also available. Special accommodations, such as ASL interpreters, can be arranged for this program. Please contact Dan Domsic by email or phone at (317) 595-3151 at least two business days prior to the first meeting regarding requests for special accommodations.
