[ARCHIVED] City, Residents Identify Long-Term Solution to Keep Gray Eagle Golf Course

Rendering

Fishers City Officials, the Gray Eagle Homeowners Association, and JC Hart announced today an agreement to preserve the Gray Eagle Golf Course. The agreement will feature an age-targeted 55+ multi-family development south of the Gray Eagle Clubhouse that includes upgrades to the Clubhouse, improvements to the Golf Course, and preserves the current greenspace. These improvements will not impact Gray Eagle Homeowners Association dues.

“We’ve been in discussions for over two years to ensure the long-term sustainability of this area, including preservation of the golf club, and I believe this is a viable solution to achieve that goal,” said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness.

The Gray Eagle Golf Course Owner’s Group announced in September 2018 its intent to close operations of the driving range, a move that many residents expressed concern over.

The Fishers City Council will conduct a first Reading of a rezone of this area to allow for the multi-family development during its January 19 meeting. An economic development agreement is anticipated to be presented to the City Council in the near future.
