The City of Fishers will kick off its citywide Shop Fishers celebration on Saturday, November 28. This year, Fishers’ annual Small Business Saturday celebration will be extended through December 31, encouraging the community to support local businesses all season long. This year’s celebration features record-high business participation with over 60 local businesses offering special deals and promotions for customers.
Shop Fishers invites the community to safely shop and dine local this holiday season and take advantage of reduced-contact services such as online ordering, carryout, delivery, and curbside pickup. Residents choosing to shop or dine in-person must follow local and state mandates and social distancing recommendations. A full list of reduced contact services offered by each business is available at ThisIsFishers.com/ShopFishers.
“Local retailers and restaurants are a critical component of the vibrancy and culture of our city,” remarked Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. “In a year where so many have been hit hard, it’s important to remember that by shopping locally, statistics show that local businesses generate upwards of 70% more local economic activity per square foot than big box retail.”
A mobile event guide will be featured on the Play Fishers app, available for free download from App Store and on Google Play. Support three participating businesses during Shop Fishers for a chance to win a prize pack. The City of Fishers will also host social media giveaways leading up to the event. Connect with the City on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and follow #ShopFishers for chances to win.
