Spring construction projects underway in Fishers

1

As the weather warms up, spring construction projects are underway throughout Fishers. The City of Fishers Engineering Department is working with each contractor to identify efforts to follow CDC guidelines. Infrastructure construction has been deemed as an essential activity by federal, state, and local executive orders. The Engineering Department has implemented new procedures to implement a no-contact inspection process for the safety of staff, residents, and contractors.

Current and upcoming road closures and lane restrictions include:

State Road 37
The southbound lanes of State Road 37 are currently reduced from two lanes to one, beginning just north of 146th Street to approximately 1,500 feet south of 146th Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Right turns are permitted from southbound State Road 37 onto 146th Street.

Beginning today, the northbound lanes of State Road 37 are reduced from two lanes to one, beginning just north of 141st Street to 146th Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A list of detours is available here.

During this time, the Sargent Road roundabout will be constructed, the bridge over Mud Creek will be replaced with a widened structure, and additional travel lanes will be added. Local access will remain open from Lantern Road to the River Life Church. The Sargent Road roundabout is anticipated to reopen in mid-June. 96th Street east of Sargent Road to Cumberland Road will remain closed and is anticipated to reopen in early November. The official detour route will direct drivers to use Lantern Road or Cumberland Road to 106th Street. View the detour map here.
