[ARCHIVED] Metronet, Fishers reach agreement to allow Metronet to resume work

METRONET, FISHERS REACH AGREEMENT TO ALLOW METRONET TO RESUME WORK

January 22, 2018 (FISHERS, IND.) - The City of Fishers and Metronet have reached an agreement to allow Metronet to resume work in Fishers. Metronet has updated their safety practices, including improved sub-contractor training. The updated safety plan follows the recommendations put forth by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. The agreement provides that any breach of safety protocol may result in a stop work order.

Metronet has expressed strong commitment to working with the City of Fishers to ensure the safety plan is followed. Before digging resumes in neighborhoods, Metronet will be providing notice to residents affected within 30 days of entering their property. Any questions regarding Metronet planned projects in Fishers can be directed to Keith Leonhardt at (812) 213-1016.
