Fishers Department of Fire and Emergency Services is excited to announce a check presentation for $15,000 from Community Health Network. This financial donation will be used to enhance the Fishers WeCare program to promote home safety, education and independence of older adults as well as to provide follow-up with those recovering from a post hospital stay while remaining at home.
The presentation will be September 9th, 2016 at the “A Fair to Remember” health and wellness event following the afternoon luncheon at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Designed for adults over 55, this 9th annual Touchpoint program, part of Community Health Network, will be the backdrop for this generous donation that will further the Fishers Community Paramedicine program. This program strives to keep quality of life at home longer, while educating adults how to use the “Zone Method” in determining if their situation is an emergency or if there are alternate methods of care. In addition, it provides day to day education on healthier living to prevent health issues.
