On Wednesday, Jan. 13, Fishers Parks & Recreation accepted the 2015 Exceptional Facility Design Award from the Indiana Park & Recreation Association. The award was in recognition of the first dedicated, public pickleball courts in Central Indiana, which were unveiled last summer at Cyntheanne Park.
“The popularity of pickleball in Fishers has far exceeded our expectations,” stated Fishers Parks & Recreation Director Tony Elliot. “We’re excited that residents of all ages have enjoyed this new amenity, and that we have support from the Indiana Park & Recreation Association.”
The pickleball courts are free for use at Cyntheanne Park during normal parks hours, from dawn to dusk daily. Residents are encouraged to bring their own equipment as it is not available onsite. For additional information about the game of pickleball, visit www.usapa.org.
