[ARCHIVED] Contractors Plan Lane Restrictions For Operation Indy Commute I-69

FISHERS, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors are planning overnight lane restrictions this week as part of Operation Indy Commute – I-69.

Rieth-Riley Construction, the INDOT contractor for the $11 million added travel lanes project, plans northbound left lane restrictions between 96th Street and 116th Street from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Rieth-Riley is constructing an additional travel lane along southbound I-69 between 116th Street and I-465. Auxiliary lanes will be built to connect northbound and southbound interchange ramps between 116th, 96th and 82nd streets.

Milestone Contractors, the state’s contractor for the $18 million interchange improvement project at Exit 205, plans various lane restrictions on northbound and southbound I-69 each night through Saturday. All restrictions will begin after 8 p.m. and are expected to end by 5 a.m.

Monday, July 8 –
• Alternating lane restrictions on southbound I-69 beginning north of the State Road 37 flyover bridge and ending south of 116th Street.

Tuesday, July 9 –
• Left lane restriction on southbound I-69 beginning north of the State Road 37 flyover and ending south of 116th Street.
• Right lane restriction on northbound I-69 beginning north of 106th Street and ending north of the State Road 37 flyover bridge.
• Left lane restriction on northbound I-69 Exit 205 beginning with the exit deceleration lane and ending at 116th Street bridge.

Wednesday, July 10 –
• Alternating lane restrictions on southbound I-69 to modify lane markings and shift both lanes of traffic 5 feet to the left.
• Left lane restriction on northbound I-69 Exit 205 beginning with the exit deceleration lane and ending at 116th Street bridge.

Thursday, July 11 -
• Right lane restriction on southbound I-69 beginning north of the State Road 37 flyover and ending south of 116th Street.
• Right lane restriction on northbound I-69 Exit 205 beginning with the exit deceleration lane and ending at 116th Street bridge.

Friday, July 12 –
• Right lane restriction on southbound I-69 beginning north of the State Road 37 flyover and ending south of 116th Street.
• Right lane restriction on northbound I-69 Exit 205 beginning with the exit deceleration lane and ending at 116th Street bridge.

Saturday, July 13 –
• Right lane restriction on southbound I-69 beginning north of the State Road 37 flyover and ending south of 116th Street.
• Left lane restriction on northbound I-69 Exit 205 beginning with the exit deceleration lane and ending at 116th Street bridge.

All improvements on both contracts are expected to be complete by the end of this year.
