[ARCHIVED] Crime Watch Alert

Crime Watch Alert

The Fishers Police Department would like to make residents aware of a recent scam taking place in the area. The police department has learned that an Ohio based tree trimming company has scammed at least one Fishers resident out of hundreds of dollars.

A man representing, Top Line Tree Care, approached the resident and offered to trim some trees in her yard. The suspect convinced the resident to write him a check for $300 dollars prior to the work being performed. The suspect cashed the check and never performed the work.

The police department is asking residents to please call the Hamilton County Dispatch Center at 317-773-1282 or 911 if they are contacted by anyone from this company. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind residents to never give money to an unfamiliar company or prior to the work being performed.
