Fishers Parks & Recreation invites you and your family to get outside and celebrate Winnie the Pooh Day on Saturday, January 18 from 1-4 p.m. at the Cumberland Park Building. This event is free for families and provides a unique opportunity for your children to get out of the house and have some fun. Families are invited to spend the day celebrating their favorite silly, old bear and enjoy all of the activities that will be taking place. You may want to come bundled for the outdoor happenings that will include “pooh sticks” if the creek isn’t frozen and an investigation of bear, rabbit and owl artifacts. However families will be able to go indoors and color, pin the tail on Eeyore or work on crafts. Hot cocoa and veggies from Rabbit’s garden will be available for a snack. Children are encouraged to attend this celebration in costume and bring any stuffed friends along for the fun. Parents, don’t forget to bring your cameras, photo props of Tigger, Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore will be available all afternoon. Although pre-registration is appreciated, it is not required.
