ICYMI: Art Installation Unveiled at The Edge

Yesterday, just as the sun was rising, community leaders and local entrepreneurs gathered to celebrate the unveiling of a new art installation at The Edge parking garage.


The series of seven large banners was created by local artist, Rachel Johnson and is titled Pursuing Innovation.


The art is a celebration of the spirit of entrepreneurship in Fishers and features silhouettes of local entrepreneurs, including:

-          First Internet Bank CEO, David Becker

-          Executive Director of SPORTS, Lynda Carlino

-          Hamilton Southeastern High School teacher, Kelsey Habig

-          Rose-Hulman student & HSEHS grad, Cydney Ogan

-          Launch Fishers co-founder, John Wechsler

-        Emplify CEO, Santiago Jaramillo

The last banner in the series features the silhouettes of two children, representing future entrepreneurs.


The installation is visible from the bridge over I-69 and serves as a vibrant welcome to Fishers’ Nickel Plate District.

Party In the Nickel Plate District!

The City of Fishers is teaming up with the Nickel Plate Business Council to host the first ever Nickel Plate District Block Party presented by Painting with A Twist! Stop by any time on Saturday, April 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. for free activities, delicious food and fun in the heart of Fishers!

  • Enjoy the Art in City Hall reception hosted by the Fishers Arts Council

National Site Selection Firm Relocates to Fishers

Ginovus, a national site selection firm, will be moving to Fishers’ Nickel Plate District in July 2016. The firm has committed to leasing 4,806 square feet of office space at The Switch. Ginvous will occupy space on the first floor of the mixed use development.  

A highly experienced site selection consultant, Ginovus, brings insight and expertise in identifying and implementing innovative growth strategies for clients in North American and the Caribbean. 

Managing Director and Founder, Larry Gigerich, found a fit for Ginvous with Fishers’ vision.

“The forward-thinking vision of the City of Fishers is a great fit for Ginovus. We were very fortunate to have several great communities to choose from for our new corporate home, but in the end, Fishers was the perfect location for our talented team of professionals,” said Larry Gigerich. “We are very excited about the opportunity to serve our clients in North America and the Caribbean from our new home in the Nickel Plate District!”

By design, the emerging culture in the Nickel Plate District continues to draw top talent and innovative organizations. Ginovus joins CloudOne, Purdue University College of Pharmacy’s Center for Medication Safety Advancement and Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership in The Switch development.
