'Fishers Farmers Market'

Throughout the past year, Fishers Parks & Recreation has placed an emphasis on creating events that connect the community. While the local chamber of commerce has taken the lead on the Fishers Farmers Market for several years, this year the City of Fishers and Fishers Parks and Recreation will head up the Fishers Farmers Market.



This gives us a new opportunity to take the Fishers Farmers Market to another level, ensuring alignment with the city’s vision for vibrant community events that bring us all together. So, plan to come out and stay a while this season; farmers markets include live performances with plenty of room for dancing, eating or relaxing on the lawn.

We know that Fishers Farmers Market will remain a summer weekend tradition for Fishers’ families as residents take advantage of the opportunity to support local farmers and vendors while getting the best local produce and goods around.

Call for 2016 Vendors
Speaking of local farmers and vendors…now is the time to secure your spot in the market! We work hard to ensure that vendors have a wonderful experience participating in the Fishers Farmers Market. Weekly attendance ranges between 1,000 and 2,500 patrons and we'd love to help you plug into this vibrant, community event. Additionally, vendors should contact the Hamilton County Department of Health to begin the process of joining our farmers market. They can be reached at (317) 776-8500.

Fishers Farmers Markets take place each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon May through September. 

The Fishers Farmers Market is a summer weekend tradition for many Fishers families, including Mayor Fadness and his family. At the Fishers Farmers Market, residents are able to support local farmers and vendors and get the best local produce and goods around. The Farmers Market is also a gathering spot where families and friends ease into the weekend with a fresh cup of coffee and prepared breakfast or lunch items as live music plays from the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater stage.

Starting tomorrow, Mayor Fadness will be present at one Farmers Market a month in an official capacity. Stop by the City of Fishers booth located next to Pierogis in a Pinch to introduce yourself to Mayor Fadness.

“It is important to me that we go where the people are,” said Mayor Fadness. “Thousands of residents visit the Farmers Market every year, and this is a perfect opportunity to learn more about the people in this community and engage the public.”

In addition to this Saturday, Mayor Fadness will also be meeting residents at the farmers markets on Aug. 22 and Sept. 26.  The Fishers Farmers Market takes place each Saturday through Sept. 26 from 8 a.m. - noon at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.
