Together, Mayor Scott Fadness, Launch Fishers CEO John Wechsler and Ball State University announced a proposed Launch Fishers expansion that includes the purchase of a building for Launch Fishers and a partnership with Ball State University to create the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The new building will give Launch Fishers three times the space they currently occupy in the basement of Hamilton East Public Library, while the partnership with Ball State will propel the Launch Indiana initiative through statewide entrepreneurship mapping resources and peer-to-peer coaching.

In addition to the expansion of Launch Fishers on Visionary Way, the City submitted a Certified Tech Park application to the Indiana Economic Development Corp. earlier this month. The designation will invigorate Launch Fishers’ goal to further foster an entrepreneurial culture and create new companies—ultimately driving 21st century economic development for the State of Indiana.
The proposed expansion will be considered at Monday's council meeting.
