Yesterday, Mayor Scott Fadness stood alongside Governor Mike Pence, Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear and Hamilton County Commissioners as plans to modernize State Road 37 in Hamilton County were announced.

The proposed improvement project will convert SR3 from 126th Street to 146th Street from a signalized intersection, divided highway to a separated-grade parkway. The traffic signals will be removed and replaced with roundabout interchanges at each local cross street similar to Keystone Parkway in Carmel. The roundabout interchanges will include sidewalks and crosswalks to allow for pedestrian and cyclist traffic.

The project will cost an estimated $124 million to complete, with INDOT contributing $100 million, Hamilton County contributing $12 million and the City of Fishers contributing $12 million. No tax increases are anticipated for residents.
"This investment is an investment in our community's economic engine, and the quality of life of our residents," said Mayor Scott Fadness.
The City of Fishers will manage the project’s design and construction. Environmental and design studies will be completed before construction begins in two to three years. The construction period is expected to last approximately three years.
