Veteran’s Day is right around the corner and we need your help thanking our local veterans. We are forever grateful for those who have served in the military to protect our country and the many freedoms we enjoy on a daily basis.

Over the next few weeks, residents are invited to stop by Fishers Library, City Hall or the Fishers Parks & Recreatoin Office (11565 Brooks School Road) to donate items or drop off thank you cards for veterans.
The following items are welcomed for donation:
- Travel-size toiletries
- Used magazines (no more than 3 months old)
- Seasonal clothing items (hats, scarves, socks)
- Playing cards or hand held games.
On Nov. 2, Fishers Public Library will host a card craft table between 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. for residents to stop in and create personalized cards. All cards and donated items will be delivered to the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center and distributed to veterans. Cards and donations are due by Friday, Nov. 6.
Stay tuned for news on how Fishers DPW plans to help active service members in the coming weeks.
