It’s a busy weekend in Fishers with big events happening throughout the city. Check out this weekend roundup to make sure you’re in the know and plan accordingly! Movies in the Park at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater Movies in the Park presented by Xfinity return this fall with 80s classics. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a free showing and evening under the stars with the whole family. Movies begin at sunset. This Friday’s film is E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. View the full Movies in the park schedule here. Fishers Farmers Market The Fishers Farmers Market is winding down with just two remaining Saturdays. Be sure to stop out to stock up on your favorite local goods and enjoy prepared items like Mathoo’s famous egg rolls. The Fishers Farmers Market takes place Saturdays through Sept. 26 at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater from 8 a.m. to noon. Fishers Safety Day Join St. Vincent Fishers and Fishers Fire and Emergency Services Saturday for a day of free health and safety activities, live entertainment and food. Fishers Safety Day will include live rescue demonstrations from Fishers Fire Department, emergency response vehicle tours, car seat safety inspections, bicycle safety, self-defense and more. The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at St. Vincent Fishers.
White River Cleanup Interested in a volunteer project? Meet a crew of Fishers residents to assist with the 21st Annual White River Cleanup on Saturday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Canoes and t-shirts are available and pizza will be provided at noon. Fishers volunteers will meet a half mile south of 146th Street on River Road. Glow in the Park Light up the night with Fishers Parks & Recreation at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. Glow in the Park features a Neon Splash Zone, face painting and a graffiti wall. This free event takes place from 8:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday and the first 1,000 attendees will receive a free glow stick. Putt-ing Kids First Fishers Youth Assistance will host its first mini-golf fundraising event this Saturday at Ben and Ari's from 3-7 p.m. Ticket prices include a drink and a meal sponsored by Texas Roadhouse, Gigi’s Cupcakes and Fresh Thyme.
