Labor Day Weekend Brings the Blues to Fishers

This weekend enjoy the best of the blues, food trucks and wine right here in Fishers. New events this year will extend the celebration of the blues throughout the weekend.

Start the weekend with Blues on the Beach on Friday, Sept. 4 at Saxony Lake and Beach. The Zach Day Band and Full Throttle will perform and Freedom Kayak Adventures will offer you the opportunity to enjoy the music out on the water with kayak rentals throughout the evening. Food trucks will also be on site during the event.

On Saturday, get the party started early with the Sun King Brewery Blues Festival Pre-Party at the Fishers Tap Room from 2-5 p.m. Pick up a growler for the show and register to win a $100 prize pack for a free tasting for 10.

After the Sun King Brewery pre-party, make your way to the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater to enjoy six live blues acts, food trucks and wine. The 3rd  Annual Blues Festival presented by J&J Winery takes place from 6-10 p.m. The following acts will take the stage:

Mike Milligan and Steam Shovel

Naptown Revue

Storm Cellar

Bulletproof Soul Band w/Tony Cheeseborough

Gene Deer

The Governor Davis Band

Local blues legend Governor Davis will be honored with a special award during the event.
