Public Health Nursing 

Public Health Nursing is a specialty practice in the fields of both nursing and public health. Public health nursing is also often referred to as community health nursing. Our nurses wear a number of hats and serve many roles, but always with a focus on population-based prevention-focused services.

  • Reportable Condition Management
    • Case management and medication management for reportable conditions such as latent TB
    • Expert resource for providers seeking guidance on reportable conditions
  • School Liaison 
    • Public health nursing resource and support for school and childcare providers
    • Facilitation of health education programming and resources
    • Coordination for school-based services such as immunization clinics
  • Clinic Services
    • Public health nursing coordinates a clinic for the public. Currently, services offered are TB  testing, immunizations, blood pressure screenings and more. Check back soon for additional services added. Please note that our clinics are nurse-run and we do not typically have a prescriber present. We do not offer physical exams or prescriptive services.
