Veteran's Day

Veteran's DayJoin the City of Fishers as we honor local veterans during the annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony. Slated to take place inside the City Hall auditorium on Friday, November 10 beginning at 10 a.m., the event includes music, remarks from Mayor Fadness, and opportunities for Veterans to tell a short story about their service.

Residents are invited to join our host, retired U.S. Navy Commander, El Ahlwardt, in honoring the brave men and women who have courageously served in the armed forces during this free ceremony open to the public.

Schedule of Events: 

  • Welcome, prayer and Pledge of Allegiance by host El Ahlwardt
  • Star Spangled Banner performed by Fishers Junior High Choirs
  • Remarks from El Ahlwardt and opportunities for Veterans in attendance to tell a brief story about their service.
  • The Armed Services Melody performed by Fishers Junior High Choirs
  • Remarks from Mayor Scott Fadness
  • Songs from the Fishers Junior High Choirs, including: Song for Unsung Heroes - Martin & Martin, and Honor - Cynthia Ensign Baney
  • Closing Remarks
