Fishers' Unplug Weekend
#StigmaFreeFishers includes opportunities to explore our parks system during Unplug Weekend! The Mental Health Task Force, Fishers Parks & Recreation and various community partners have united to offer activities your family can enjoy on Saturday, August 12th. Use this page to plan ahead!

1. Enjoy a run with Fishers Running Club
  • Fishers Running Club will meet at Brooks School Park at 7:30 a.m. for a run. People of all ages and abilities are welcome, including those who would prefer to walk.

2. Source Yoga at the Fishers' Farmers Market
  • Relax your body and your mind with a free yoga lesson at the Fishers' Farmers Market! Source Yoga will lead the class on the NPD AMP stage from 8 to 9 a.m.

3. PJ the Hoop Smith
  • Enjoy laughing while spinning a hula hoop! PJ will have her hula hoops on the NPD AMP lawn at the Fishers' Farmers Market from 10 a.m. until noon. Parents, this isn't just for the kids, you can get in on the fun, too!

4. Disc Golf at Cumberland Road Park
  • The Hamilton County Disc Golf Union will provide loaner discs for guests to use! Brand new to the game? They'll also help you learn how to play. Stop by any time from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

5. Explore at Conner Prairie
  • Head to Conner Prairie to unplug and make memories! While there, be sure to check out the Treetop Outpost, Nature Walk or their Animal Encounters Barn. Print a coupon offline for a $3 discount!

6. Mountain Bike with DNK at Flat Fork Creek Park
  • A DNK instructor will be at Flat Fork Creek Park to lead mountain bike rides between 10 a.m. and noon.

7. Tailgate with Fishers YMCA
  • Fishers YMCA is celebrating the kick off to fall with a sports tailgate. During the event, guests will enjoy food, drinks and connecting with other families who enjoy sports. Learn more!

8. Tee up at Grey Eagle Golf Course
  • Grey Eagle Golf Course is offering a few ways to unplug. Guests can purchase one large bucket for the price of a small bucket or two large buckets for the price of one.

9. Kayak at Saxony Lake & Beach
  • From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., Freedom Kayak will offer a two for one special; rent one watercraft and get a second of equal or lesser value, for free!

10. Relish in quiet at Fishers Library
  • From 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Fishers Library will have special book displays available for a quiet "read in" during unplug weekend. There will also be coloring sheets available for little ones, or adults that would rather participate!

11. Explore the Born Learning Trail at Brooks School Park
  • Head to Brooks School Park and explore the Born Learning Trail! Not only will you enjoy walking the multi-use path, but you may learn something along the way.

12. Try pickleball at Cyntheanne Park
  • Those who are interested in learning more about the country’s fastest growing sport should come out and participate at Cyntheanne Park on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Paddles and balls will be available.

Fishers is home to 23 parks, 107 miles of trails (both multi-use and paved paths), and nearly 560 acres of land. Use Unplug Weekend as an opportunity to enjoy a quiet bike ride or walk, and take a true brain break. Whether with friends, neighbors or family members, Unplug Weekend provides an opportunity to prioritize a moment for yourself or for something you enjoy!
