Intern - Face of Fishers
Job Description

Are you the life of the party? The star of the show? Do you get excited being around people and helping others have fun? The City of Fishers is looking for that special extrovert to be our "Face of Fishers" intern for the large-scale summer community events presented by the Parks and Recreation Department. These events are already fun and exciting, but we want to ramp up the fun by having this person lead audience participation, emcee the event, and drive the social media train. This will be a fun and rewarding summer internship (and you get paid for it!!!), but don't overlook that it will also be a great experience builder. Especially if you are considering an education and/or career in marketing, promotion, event management, or in entertainment. Below are the basic details, but don't let them distract you from the fact that this job is about fun and having an outgoing personality! Are you our next Face of Fishers?

Examples of Duties:
2017 SUMMER CONCERT EVENTS: Tuesday Concert Series: June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8; Friday Concert Series: June 2 through August 25; Monsoon Madness: Saturday, June 17; Blast on the Bridge: July 4; Mud Day: July 8; Farmers Market Specialty Days: May 27; June 3,10; July 16; Jaws at the Beach: July 22; Video Game Fest: August TBD

Fireworks! Rock bands! Sharks! Video Games! Mud! In what other job would you find these words in the description? The Face of Fishers will be expected to attend these events and enhance the audience experience through public speaking, use and activation of social media, and interaction with attendees. The Face of Fishers also gets to lead a Promotions Team, which will help support event activation and audience engagement.
