Tree Matching Grants
Tree Matching Grant Program

Fishers accepts applications for its Plant a Tree, Grant a Tree Program, which awards funds to neighborhoods, non-profits, and homeowners within municipal limits as an incentive to plant trees and enhance the beauty of the community. This is a competitive grant with limited funding. Recipients are eligible for up to a 50% match. Applications are accepted annually on January 31.

Each Tree Matching Grant application received is reviewed by staff. After staff review, the requests are forwarded to the Board of Public Works with staff recommendations, generally at the first regular February Board of Public Works meeting for review and approval. After the Board of Public Works approval in February of the recommended projects, all awarded applicants are notified and have until the first business day in November to complete the project and submit proof of completion for reimbursement.
