The final design of the SR 37 Improvement Project will be determined over the next two to three years as environmental and design studies are completed with opportunity for public input. Once design is complete, the construction period is expected to last approximately three years.

SR 37 Project Timeline

Desired design and environmental time frame: 

  • June 3, 2016 - Survey notification letters mailed
  • August 1, 2016 - Survey completed
  • October 14, 2016 - Stage I plans
  • January 11, 2017 - Preliminary field check
  • April 18, 2017 - Public hearing
  • June 16, 2017 - CE document (or EA if Red) complete

July 2016 Update:

An update meeting for all homeowners and residents along the SR37 corridor will be hosted in an effort to provide residents with the most updated information concerning the project. Some of the topics to be covered include a general update on the current status of the project, when the public can expect to start seeing construction, traffic detours and the impact it may have in regards to increased cars and trucks in neighborhoods, survey and environmental work that is being performed on private property, and general questions. The meeting will be held on July 27, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fishers Jr. High School 13257 Cumberland Road.
