Veteran's Day
The City of Fishers has partnered alongside the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center to honor local veterans in our community. Leading up to Veterans Day residents are invited to stop by Fishers Library and create a thank you card, drop off a homemade thank you card at various locations around Fishers, or donate items in need to serve local veterans.

On Monday, November 2, Fishers Public Library will host a card craft table, offering anyone the opportunity to create a thank you card for a local veteran. The table will be available Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Residents who prefer to create their own cards at home are encouraged to do so and drop them off at Fishers Public Library (5 Municipal Drive), Fishers City Hall (1 Municipal Drive) or the Fishers Parks & Recreation Office (11565 Brooks School Road). Those who feel compelled to donate are encouraged to consider the following items*:

• Small, travel-size toiletries
• Used magazines (not over 3 months old)
• Seasonal clothing items (hats, scarves, socks), or
• Playing cards or hand held games

*Other donation suggestions can be found here.

All cards and items donated will be delivered to the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center and distributed to veterans. Cards and donations are due by Friday, November 6.
