2016 Open Enrollment Meetings:

Please plan to attend one of these meetings to learn about health plan changes for 2016 and 2017. Employees and dependents are welcome to join a meeting at any of the locations, even if you’re not a member of that department. Changes and enrollments are due to Human Resources by Friday, November 6.

New for 2016:

  • The deductible for the Traditional Plan will increase from $1,000 to $2,000 for family and from $500 to $1,000 for employee only.

  • For health claims, our network is changing from Cigna to Encore/Encircle. Encore is a network for physicians and Encircle is a network for facilities/Hospitals. Want to find out if your doctor is in the Encore/Encircle network? Visit their websiteOnce on Encore’s web site, click the orange circle in the middle of the page.  It will say ‘Provider Search’ or ‘Click Here to Find a Provider’.  On the next page, choose Encircle/Encore Health Network.  A box will pop up asking if you are part of the Deaconess Network, click ‘None’.   You can then enter your physician’s information or search for a doctor by specialty.

  • For dental claims, our passive network is changing from Maverest to Cigna. Want to find out if your dentist in in the Cigna network? Visit their website. Once on Cigna’s web site, click the orange box in the middle of the page that says ‘Find a doctor or dentist using this directory.’  On the next page, click on ‘Dentist’.  You can either enter your dentist’s information or search for a dentist by location or specialty.  Choose ‘Cigna Dental PPO or EPO’.

Money Saving Health, Mental and Prescription Services

The following services are benefits provided by the City for employees and their dependents enrolled in our health insurance plan. LifeServices EAP is offered to ALL employees and their dependents, regardless of health insurance provider.

  • Compass Professional Health Services: Find a doctor, get pricing for health services and help with medical bills for free. 
  • Life Services EAP: Up to 10 free counseling sessions to help with relationship issues, financial concerns, grief, stress and emotional concerns. 
  • QuadMed Health and Wellness Center: Access to free primary care that revolves around prevention, wellness and chronic condition management.
  • RX Help Center: Do you have expensive, name-brand prescriptions? Learn how you can get them for little or no cost at all.
  • TX Team: Located in QuadMed, TX Team offers physical therapy at no cost to you.
  • Unified Group Services: Our plan administrator and claims processor. You can also order a new health insurance ID card or look up an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) on their web site.
