The Fishers Board of Zoning Appeals is a quasi-judicial body of five citizens. Four of them are appointed by the City Council, and one is appointed by the Advisory Plan Commission.

The board is charged with the responsibility of hearing appeals, requests for variances to the land use zoning regulations of the city, and requests for conditional uses within the corporate limits of the City of Fishers and all of Delaware County. The board conducts public hearings for citizen input in order to make their decisions.
