126th St. Construction Project Phase III 20% Complete

Current Status: Under Construction

Project Location: Project III of the 126^th Street reconstruction is located between State Road 37 and Promise Road.

Project Scope: 126^th Street is being widened from a two-lane road to a four-lane divided roadway with a multi-use asphalt path on the north side and a concrete sidewalk on the south side of the road.

Reason for Project: Improvements are being made to accept the increased traffic volume.

Update: 5-11-12 Concrete is starting to be placed in the eastbound lanes between SR37 and Cumberland Road. They will continue going east on the south side and will shift traffic to the new concrete prior to starting the reconstruction of the north side of the road.
