126th St. Construction Project Phase II 93% Complete

Current Status: Under Construction

Project Location: Project II of the 126^th Street reconstruction is located between Promise Road and Westmorland Drive.

Project Scope: 126^th Street is being widened from a two-lane road to a four-lane divided roadway with a multi-use asphalt path on the north side and a concrete sidewalk on the south side of the road. This project includes the reconstruction of the bridge over I-69 and the bridge over Sand Creek.

Reason for Project: Improvements are being made to accept the increased traffic volume.

Update: 5-11-12 Paths, sidewalks and sod are going in now. Contractor is scheduled to be completed June 15, 2012.
