This manual is published by the authority of the Chief of Police, and issued to all personnel of the Fishers Police Department. Its provisions, except where specifically noted, are applicable to all employees, paid and unpaid. It is the responsibility of each member of the Police Department to know and understand the policies, procedures, rules and regulations in this manual.
These policies and procedures are designed to ensure uniformity of service to the community, and provide guidance to personnel in the performance of their duties, as well as to establish standards of performance and conduct.
The Chief shall have the sole authority to amend this manual. All changes, additions and deletions shall be issued by the Chief, and any deviation from this manual shall be by his express authorization.
No policy, procedure, rule, regulation, or any other directive or practice of any component of the Police Department shall be in conflict with the provisions of this manual.
