Geist Annexation Improvement Board
The Geist Annexation Improvement Fund was created from property taxes in the Geist area and was part of the annexation fiscal plan. The Geist Annexation Improvement Board recently began discussions on the future of the $2.5 million fund designated for capital community projects in the Geist area. The Fishers Town Council appointed 9 Geist residents to serve as an advisory group that will review all incoming applications for funding from the Geist Annexation Improvement Fund. They will decide which projects move forward for Town Council approval.
Any Geist area residents or organizations can apply for a capital community project specific to the annexed Geist area of Fishers.
In addition to projects funded by the 2.5 million dollars, the Town of Fishers has committed to building a fire station, a park and investing $5 million in road projects
