Metropolitan Police Commission
The Metropolitan Police Commission consists of three commissioners, all appointed by the Town Council. In order to qualify as a commissioner, an appointee must be of good moral character and a legal resident of the town. No more than two of the commissioners may be the same political party. Each commissioner serves a term of three years. In January of each year, one commissioner is appointed or reappointed. They meet on an "as needed" basis.
