Every four years, the Fishers residents elect a
Clerk-Treasurer and a seven-member
town council . The primary function of the clerk-treasurer is to serve as fiscal officer to the town. The office of the Clerk-Treasurer is also responsible for billing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, ordinance information, voter registration, solicitors' permits and sewer billing.
