Stigma Free Fishers Week
As students head back to school, Fishers' Mental Health Task Force is also celebrating the close out of phase one and transition into phase two of the community initiative. While phase one of the initiative sought to improve education and training, and enhance local resources and access to service; phase two will focus heavily on changing the culture and stigma around mental health. A series of event will take place offering opportunities to learn about mental health in our community, connect with mental health resources, and to unite in support of #StigmaFreeFishers. Stigma Free Fishers Week

Wednesday, August 2nd 
Interfaith Prayer Gathering in support of Stigma Free Fishers
  • Happening at the Nickel Plate District AMP beginning at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, August 8th
Tuesday Night Concert Series featuring special guest Mike Reikhof and the Peyton Reikhof Foundation for Youth Hope
  • Happening at the Nickel Plate District AMP beginning at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, August 9th
Peyton Riekhof Foundation for Youth Hope Dine-out for Mental health
  • Happening at two locations: City BBQ (9367 Ambleside Drive) and Handel's Homemade Ice Cream from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (8760 E. 116th Street) - please note: a printed Dine to Donate flyer must be present for proceeds to benefit the foundation. Thursday, August 10th
Peyton Riekhof Foundation for Youth Hope Dine-out for Mental Health

Friday, August 11th
Stigma Free HSE's Hope for Happiness Celebration ft. Dave and Rae
  • Happening on the Central Green from 6 to 9 p.m. - this family-friendly event will feature games and activities and local food trucks along with the free concert by local favorites, Dave and Rae. "Like" the Facebook event page for details!
  • During the event, paint a rock to share happiness! Visit the art booth to decorate a happiness rock and then hide it in the community for someone to find. This free activity is presented by the Fishers Arts Council and the "Fishers Rocks!" Facebook page.

Saturday, August 12th
Kick off of Fishers' Unplugged Weekend
  • Happening all weekend long: plan a family outing, meet up with friends or simply unplug from social media for a few hours! Head out to Fishers' parks to enjoy an unplugged outing.

Jason's Race 5K Run and Walk
  • Celebrate the spirit of Jason Sipher and the newly founded scholarship in his honor at Riverside Junior High School. Registration opens at 9:15 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m.
  • Donate to the Jason Sipher Scholarship Fund here or email the organization for more information.

Community Movie Night ft. Inside Out
  • Happening at the Nickel Plate District AMP beginning at dusk - we recommend bringing a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the free show!

Fishers' Unplugged Weekend continues
