HAND (Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development)
hand logoHAND addresses the housing needs of low- and moderate-income individuals, families and senior citizens in Hamilton County. HAND does this by providing affordable housing options through the development of rental properties and assisting residents in obtaining homeownership. Our Mission is: Investing in neighborhoods, providing housing solutions, and building partnerships to improve the lives and build community in Hamilton County.

HAND partnered with the Town of Fishers for Keep Fishers Beautiful. It was an incredible day! It was well organized, we had great weather, and we had lots of volunteers from local churches, organizations and the neighborhood. Neighbors came out to help, or begin work on their own property. By mid-morning, the whole neighborhood of Sunblest Countryview was abuzz with activity! We filled up three dumpsters, allowing neighbors to clear out their garages and storage units and remove debris from their yards. Volunteers worked hard, and kept a sweet spirit of dedication and service throughout the day. Staff from the Department of Public Works were amazing! They also worked hard chipping downed trees and providing muscle and equipment to move out debris. They were so helpful and great partners for the day.

We would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers who make everything we do possible. If you have had a great volunteer experience in Fishers, please let us know about it so we can feature you or your organization in this Volunteer Spotlight!
