Yesterday afternoon Investigators with the Fishers Police Department arrested an Indianapolis man and charged him in connection with the armed robbery of the Village Pantry Gas Station that occurred on February 3rd.
Shortly before 3pm a Lawrence police officer observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle involved in the armed robbery in Fishers 18 hours earlier. The officer stopped the vehicle and detained the driver. Investigators from the Fishers Police Department were able to positively identify the driver as one of the armed robbery suspects. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident. This investigation is on-going.
Fishers Police Chief George Kehl would like to thank the community and the Lawrence Police Department for their assistance. Chief Kehl stated, “Maintaining close working relationships with residents and neighboring law enforcement professionals is essential to keeping Fishers a safe place to live, work, and play”.

Fishers, (Indiana) – The Fishers Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at the Village Pantry Gas Station located at 8772 E. 96th Street (96th Street and Lantern Road).
Shortly before 10pm last night the Hamilton County Dispatch Center received a 911 call from an employee reporting two men had just robbed the store. The employee reported the suspects entered the store and demanded money. One of the suspects displayed a handgun. The employee was unharmed. The suspects fled the area in a light colored passenger car. It is believed there was a third suspect that drove the getaway car. Police officers from Fishers, Noblesville, Carmel, and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Departments searched for the suspects. At this time the suspects remain at large.
