Fishers Celebrates 15 Years of Summer Concerts

FISHERS Ind. – The City of Fishers is thrilled to celebrate its 15th year of summer concerts in the Nickel Plate District with the City’s most ambitious lineup to date! Last year, approximately 135,000 people enjoyed the popular weekly concerts in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, which are free and open to the public. Just announced today, the 2017 summer concert lineup features both local and major national recording artists.

“The Nickel Plate District really comes to life during the summer months, and visitors are in for a great time this year,” said Mayor Scott Fadness. “Not only are there free music options for people of all walks of life, but the amenities in downtown offer unique places to gather, eat and shop. I encourage visitors to explore the Nickel Plate District this summer and enjoy.”

This summer, music lovers will enjoy two weekly concert series, including Tuesday Night Concerts presented by IU Health Saxony Hospital, as well as Amp After Dark concerts on Friday nights. Highlights for the 2017 concert season include:

• The Woomblies Rock Orchestra – June 2 at 9 p.m.
• B105.7 presents 80’s at the Amp – June 3 at 6:30 p.m.
• 107.9 The Mix presents Smash Mouth - June 9 at 9 p.m.
• Q95 and Barnes & Thornburg LLP present John Waite – June 16 at 9 p.m.
• WJJK presents Loverboy – July 7 at 9 p.m.
• WTTS presents Jennie DeVoe – July 14 at 9 p.m.
• Dave & Rae – July 18 at 7 p.m.
• WTTS presents Moon Taxi – August 4 at 9 p.m.
• Blues Fest featuring Honoree Rev. Charlie Edmunds and Samantha Fish | September 1-2 at 7:30 p.m.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring this great lineup to Fishers this summer. I hope everyone will join us this summer for an epic experience at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater,” said Tony Elliot, Parks and Recreation Department Director. “Fishers is going to rock all summer long!”
