  2. Age-Friendly Fishers Meeting

    In 2018, the City of Fishers joined the network of AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities, an affiliate of the WHO Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities. The designation emphasizes the City’s commitment to continued age-friendly efforts in four distinct categories: land use, housing, transportation, and parks.

    The Age-Friendly Fishers committee is in the early stages of creating a Community Action Plan, and we want your ideas as we work to make Fishers a place for all ages. Join us for a public meeting to learn more and share you input. Meetings will be held:

  3. StoryWalk® Book Reveal

    June 19, 2019, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve

    The StoryWalk® has come to Fishers! Join us for the first book reveal of the StoryWalk® in partnership with Hamilton East Public Library. Each month, we’ll feature a nature-based picture book on the Hickory Trail at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve for little ones to enjoy during a quarter-mile hike in the woods. Books are available all month long, rain or shine. Books are ideal for ages 6 and under.

    Book reveals will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10 AM at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve and will feature themed, hands-on activities and a guided hike with a naturalist and librarian. Learn more at playfishers.com/storywalk
