What is Volgistics?
Volgistics is the database Fishers uses to coordinate volunteers for city-sponsored events. Interested volunteers should fill out the volunteer application and create an account. Once an account has been created, volunteers can easily register for service opportunities.
Create a Volgistics Account
Start by completing the volunteer application online. Answers will be used to match you with opportunities that are interesting and relevant to your personal strengths. At the end of the application process, you will be asked to create a password that will be used to log in to your Volgistics account.
Groups interested in participating in a service project together should select a group leader. That individual will create a Vogistics group account and indicate they are the group leader on their application. Once the application has been created, that group leader will coordinate their team of volunteers directly with Fishers Community Engagement & Volunteer Coordinator, Dan Domsic.
Register to Volunteer Using Your Volgistics Account
Once you fill out the volunteer application, it will be processed through Fishers Parks & Recreation. You will receive an email once your account has been created and approved for use. At that point, you can log into Volgistics to access your account and to begin registering for opportunities. Through the portal, you can edit your profile, manage your schedule, and track your volunteer service hours and opportunities.
To register for a volunteer opportunity, log into Volgistics and visit the "My Schedule" tab. You can search for specific opportunities or browse the calendar for opportunities in need of assistance. An orange "Help Wanted" icon will be displayed on days in which volunteer assistance is still needed. If you are able to assist, click on that icon and select "Schedule Me" for that opportunity to be added to your service history. As the program date approaches, Dan will contact you directly and provide additional details.
